Game 1: Tornadoes vs Cedar Creek Christian

August 28, 2016
David A. Rodgers

Hey Tornado Fans it is Mr Friday Night David Rodgers Voice of The Tornadoes and along With Big Kevin Howe with Color Commentary back with you to give you an update on what happened at not only David Hurse Stadium but at Bradford High School today as the students and faculty participated in the Hype Day they had at school which has been going on not just today but all week. Their was so much school spirit and alot of the students participated in all the activities and it showed as it carried over to the Football Field Tonight as the Tornadoes put a shellacking on the Cedar Creek Christian Saints 49 to 0 as the Tornadoes ran the ball at will on the Saints Defense as the offensive line created and open up big holes as Big Andre Carter, Alvin James and Freshmen Dewayne McBride piled up huge rushing yards for the offense. Junior Dual Threat QB Zion Barber guided the offense tonight to perfection as he also had some great runs as well. He also converted on 6 of 7 Extra Points and would have been 7 for 7 if it was not for a botched snap however the ensuing Bradford Touchdown they decided to go for the 2 Point Conversion and made it with a run from the Freshmen McBride. Defensively the Tornados kept the Saints Offense in check all night long with plays that had no gain or lost yards and just could not do anything against our down linemen and Coach Green and Coach John's would send the LBs and DBs on blitzes and sacked the QB numerous times through out the game. Special Teams were great and they did not allow any big returns and Barber kicked several into the end zone for no return yardage. The next big game is just only a week away as we host one of our biggest rivals the Baker County Wildcats which the Tornadoes have not beaten in several years and the Wildcats are coming off a huge win against Class 5A St Augustine which is always in the state playoff mix so they will be riding a high as they come to visit the Tornadoes at David Hurse Stadium this coming Friday September 2nd with Kickoff at 730. We encourage all Bradford County Fans and Residents to come out live to the stadium and root on your Tornadoes but if you cannot make it please tune into the radio broadcast as we start the Pregame Show at 715 and Kickoff at 730 and you can catch all the Live Action right here on Eagle Country 106.3
