TORNADOES TAKE DOWN THE HAMILTON COUNTY TROJANS

October 28, 2018
David Rodgers

Good Evening Tornado Nation and Fans, this is Mr. Friday Night David Rodgers Voice and Play by Play Announcer for your Bradford Tornadoes bringing you this Edition of the WEAG Eagle Country 106.3 Blog for Tornado Football 2018.

Well Tornado Nation and Tornado Fans what a difference a bye week can make in a football team and the Young Tornadoes found that out as they travelled to Jasper to Play the 1 Win Hamilton County Trojans and for a better part of the First Quarter they did just that and then the Tornadoes flexed their muscle and settled down and starting playing Tornado Football and at the end of the game they clearly outmanned the Trojans and wound up with a 40-0 Victory to bring their overall record to 5-4 and with second place secured in the Class 4A State Playoff Race in Region 2.

Now with the Santa Fe Raiders losing to the Gainesville Eastside Rams 23-13 the Number One Spot may be going back to Bradford as we wait the official points rankings that come out this upcoming Tuesday with the official standings. If that is the case, we need to take care of business this Friday Night as the 2-win Middleburg Broncos come into David Hurse Stadium looking to upset our Tornadoes and on Senior Night 2018 and Homecoming 2018 and to put just a bit of a damper on the Playoffs which is the ultimate goal for our young football team.

The Tornadoes dominated this game from start to finish as they final played a complete game, offensively, defensively, and special teams and limited penalties and that is why Bradford was able to keep the Trojans off the scoreboard and put up a 40 spot.

Bradford had a great night running the football as they had 296 yards rushing on 37 carries with SR RB Jeremiah Bug Vaughan 6 carries 102 yards and 2 TDS and JR RB Brian Foster coming in off the bench had 8 carries for 70 yards and 1 TD. Also, SOPH RB Eric Smith had 60 yards on 7 carries and QB Ciena and our receivers had carries on those jet sweeps.

We also had a great night passing and receiving the ball as SR QB Adrian Ciena had a big night as he connected on 9-19 for 150 yards passing and 2 TDS and both of those TD Passes going to SOPH WR Austin Lovell ( The Beef O Brady’s Player of the Game ) had 2 Rec for 54 Yards and 2 TDS and SR WR Travis Lee got in on the action as well with 3 Rec for 42 yards and JR WR / CB Nedro Davis 3 Rec for 37 Yards.

Defensively Bradford shutdown the Trojan Offense to just at 100 yards total and with a very big night from our Big Defensive Front led by All Region SR NG Jaquez Mosley with 15 tackles 6 solo and 2 TFL and along with Taurus Coleman, Shaytron Cotton, and Levontre Daniels played a big part of shutting the run down. Emery Banks and Malik Henderson had fumble recoveries and JR CB Nedro Davis had 2 INTS from his Safety Position and for a total of 4 Turnovers the Tornadoes are looking to be ball hawks the rest of the season and shut down teams from here out.

It is hard to believe this upcoming game is Week 11 and the final regular season game for the 2018 Bradford Football Team and what an important week it is. Senior Night 2018 and Homecoming Week 2018 is upon us and with a 5-4 record right now we need to get this win against the Middleburg Broncos as they come into David Hurse Stadium in Good Ole Starke Florida trying to upset and spoil the festivities of Homecoming 2018. But the Young Tornadoes will have something to say about that.

So now Senior Night and Homecoming Week 2018 is upon us an with all the festivities to include all the Dress Up Days at School, Building of Homecoming Floats, Tornado Whirl and the Class Skits 2018, The Homecoming Parade and the Big Homecoming Game on Friday Nov 2nd with the Pregame Show at 715 and Kickoff at 730 and you can catch all the Live Play By Play and Color Commentary with Mr. Friday Night David Rodgers and Big Kevin Howe and the States Best Producing Team of Chuck Kramer, Lyn Veliz, and Mary Kramer right here on WEAG Eagle Country 106.3.
