David Rodgers

Good Evening Tornado Nation and Fans, this is Mr. Friday Night David Rodgers Voice and Play by Play Announcer for your Bradford Tornadoes bringing you this Edition of the WEAG Eagle Country 106.3 Blog for Tornado Football 2018.

Well Homecoming and Senior Night 2018 went just as planned with the exception of the 2-7 Middleburg Broncos coming to David Hurse Stadium to ruin all the plans and festivities of all the Tornado Fans that were Live at David Hurse Stadium and all of Tornado Nation Tuning in on The Radio Broadcast and FB Live and upset our 5-4 Tornadoes 21-13 and now has put a big damper and losing some seeding spots as they were in the Number 2 Spot and with this loss could move them for sure out of that spot and nowhere the Tornadoes will have to go on the road to play all of their playoffs games from here out.

The 2018 Tornadoes (5-5) will now have to travel to face the Number 4 Seed PK Yonge Blue Wave (9-1) in the First Round of the Class 4A Region 2 State Playoffs the Tornadoes 4th Straight Playoff Appearance. The Tornadoes are the 5th Seed.

The Middleburg Broncos came into last Friday Night’s Ball Game with a Great Game Plan and that was to shutdown the Tornadoes Running Game and make them one dimensional and that is exactly what they did and played with 7 and 8 men in the box and all but shutdown the running game and caused Bradford to have to throw the ball more and their defense came with pressure on our QB’S most of the night and kept us off balance and having to play catch up all night and we came up just one play and one score short as time ran out on our Tornadoes.

SR QB Adrien Ciena was 5-13 passing for 130 yards and a TD and SOPH QB Jackson Smith was 9-13 for 129 yards and a TD. SOPH WR Austin Lovell had both TD catches and finished the night with those 2 catches and 92 yards receiving and SR RB Jeremiah Bug Vaughan had 5 catches for 60 yards and a Rec Td and add 39 yards on 20 carries. SOPH RB Eric Smith added another 30 yards on 8 carries.

The Middleburg Broncos rushed for 49 carries and 169 yards and a TD and JR QB Justino had a great night passing 11-18 for 161 yards and 2 TDS. The offense had a total of 330 yards and was able to control the ball most of the game and played keep away for our Tornadoes.

SR NG Jacquez Mosley had 15 tackles 7 solo and 2 TFL as the defense for the most part played well at times. Shaytron Cotton, Taurus Coleman, Gabe Cook, Nedro Davis and Adonte Balfour played very well.

So now Round 1 of the Class 4A Region 2 State Playoffs begin and the Tornadoes will be on the road this Friday Night  Nov 9th as we travel to Gainesville Florida to play the PK Yonge Blue Wave with the Pregame Show at 715 and Kickoff at 730 and you can catch all the Live Play By Play and Color Commentary with Mr. Friday Night David Rodgers and Big Kevin Howe and the States Best Producing Team of Chuck Kramer, Lyn Veliz, and Mary Kramer right here on WEAG Eagle Country 106.3.
